This workshop meets for a 2-1/4 hour period for four consecutive weeks. This is a must for anyone interested in creating higher quality yarn than you can purchase at a fraction of the cost. • Preparation of fiber to produce woolen and worsted yarns.
    • The treadle spinning wheel and how ratios affect its function.
    • Picker, hand carders, wool combs and drum carder demonstrations.

    • Become familiar with the equipment used for winding yarn: the ball winder, umbrella swift, niddy-noddy, click reel, skein winder, etc.
    • Washing and setting your skeins.

Please note: Missed sessions are available at $35/hour.

Please note our cancellation policy: A deposit of $75 is required to reserve a space in this class. The balance is due two weeks prior to the course beginning.
